COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Due to the coronavirus, we are not currently doing park reservations.

Please refer to the city Parks & Recreation website for current Covid-19 restrictions.

Whittier Mill Village Park Reservations

Thank you for your interest in holding an event at Whittier Mill Park! Our park is City of Atlanta property. As such, the only official way to reserve the park, or a particular area of the park, is through the City of Atlanta.

As a public park, many small events (birthdays, picnics, etc.) likely do not need a reservation of the park facilities; everything is on a first-come, first-serve basis. That said, depending on the size and type of your event, you may want to officially rent the park to be certain there are no other events or that you do not inadvertently violate city ordinance.

Especially:
  • Weddings (not required - we just don’t want to risk a day like a wedding to be ruined!)
  • Events with more than 75 attendees
  • Events where you need a specific area of the park, such as the Tower or Pavilion
  • Events that will require specialized audio or PA equipment
  • Events where you will be selling alcohol
  • Events in which restrooms will be required (rented by the event holder)
  • Of course, all people are allowed to come to City parks at any time and have a gathering. In some cases, permits are neither needed nor required.

Please check out our Park Rules and Regulations for more information.
